97th Academy Awards: ‘The Wild Robot’ Earns Three Oscar Nominations, Underdog ‘Flow’ Nabs Two

The 97th Oscars air live March 2, 2025 at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on ABC and Hulu in the United States and in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced the nominations today at 5:30 a.m. PT, live from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

‘Flow’ Official Trailer, Release Date and Synopsis: Latvia Hopes Film Without Dialogue Can Land Country’s First Academy Award Nomination

U.S. release date: November 22, 2024 (Los Angeles and New York), followed by a nationwide release December 6, 2024.

Synopsis: Flow follows a courageous cat after his home is devastated by a great flood. Teaming up with a capybara, a lemur, a bird, and a dog to navigate a boat in search of dry land, they must rely on trust, courage, and wits to survive the perils of a newly aquatic planet.
