Netflix today announced that they’re working on an animated series based on the popular Minecraft video game franchise.
Depending on who you ask, Minecraft is considered the best-selling video game of all time with over 300 million copies sold. (Some say Tetris is actually #1 with over 520 million copies sold.)
Not much information is known at the moment, except that the series will tell an original story with new characters and that WildBrain (Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising, Carmen Sandiego) is the animation studio responsible for bringing this new series to life.
Season 1 release date: June 22, 2024.
Season 2 release date: August 6, 2024.
